What do I want to study?

Education is a hell of thing!There are many of us out here that have asked themselves the title question at some point in time or the other. Now, in my opinion, there are two types of decisions one can make when this question comes up. The first option would be to just pursue a field where 'the money is', while the other option is to pursue what you are passionate about.
Now the latter could possibly explain why some people tend to pursue degrees in Art History or even English..hmm I don't know..but in any case they are pursuing what they feel at home with.
Now, for the persons that just arbitrarily chooses a degree just because it has a high potential for a salary increase, though it is quite understandable, it does'nt make much sense. In the end the person will tend to be unhappy with the choice made in the long run, regardless of the money involved.
Someone may really want to pursue for example, Computer Engineering. Now even though that individual may not neccesarily be mathematically inclined to do this, does'nt give him/her the reason to simple give up. The fact that you like it shows in itself that you have the propensity to do it. So try and try again...if you love it that much, you will get there.
One thing that I will always remember; the advice a certain indiviual gave me- now, I've changed it up a bit to give a greater impact - "Pursue what you love; what you are natural at, because if you choose the other thing, what u will be left with is a love that will simply revert to a hobby and a life that you will not be truly happy with"

for those that are unfamiliar, u need to have winrar or a similar app to extract the file and the two parts must be downloaded and in both the same directory..just extract one and it will extract the other...a folder will be created with files in it ..u extract one file from there and the rest will unpack and there u go..good to watch! :)

Good thing about this too is that virtually all the applications are Open Source

Hey I have decided to post up a link to some video tutorials, where you can learn how to code in HTML and CSS. Now in my opinion, hand coding a website in pure html is just a pain in the neck; I rather use Photoshop and Dreamweaver to do my general layouts.
Some of us though (like me for my course assignments), may have to code in pure html without editor assistance (e.g. Dreamweaver) or may have to go into the html to make some minor adjustments. Well if this is the case these tutorials will give you an introduction to basic syntax etc...

Black background and energy saving

Well in support of energy saving, I have chosen this dark black theme for use on my blog.
The explanation for this is that the colour black does not burn as much energy as it would for any other colour being generated on your screen.
If you wish to give support to this and you love using google (like me :) ) then may I suggest using Blackle, which is an energy efficient version of google search.

Welcome everyone. I have established this blog mainly to post up some cool tips from time to time on how to do some computer/technology related stuff and some interesting links to learn more information.
Other than that, I will be sharing links to some really cool downloads that some people may not be able to easily find on the internet. I will try my best to keep any software opensource or at least to trial versions.
Finally i may also just vent my opinions and/or fustrations from time to time simply to just 'release' myself.
